Tag Non Grata
Written by Colorado Springs Gazette
The continued pussification of America, I submit yet another story to the viewing public about a school in Colorado that has banned "Tag" of all things...what a joke. - Joe the Crow

Officials eyeball "Red Rover" next.
On the playground of a northern Colorado Springs elementary school, tag is not “it.”

The touch-and-run game and any other form of chasing was banned this year at Discovery Canyon Campus’ elementary school by administrators who say it fuels schoolyard disputes.

“It causes a lot of conflict on the playground,” said Assistant Principal Cindy Fesgen. In the first days of school, before tag was banned, she said students would complain to her about being chased or harassed.

Fesgen said she would hear: “Well, I don’t want to be chased, but he won’t stop chasing me, or she won’t stop chasing me.”

Fesgen said two parents complained to her about the demise of tag, but she said that generally, parents and children didn’t fuss about the new rules. Running games are still OK, she said, as long as students don’t run after one another.

Lisa Kohlhagen is dead?
MADISON COUNTY, Ga. -- Twenty-two-year-old Lisa Kohlhagen of Colbert, Ga. in Madison County went through Army basic training but was discharged after a knee injury.

She said when her disability checks stopped coming, the Department of Veteran’s Affairs told her it was because she was dead.

“It was a complete shock. I started crying. I was really upset,” said Kohlhagen.

Kohlhagen’s knee isn’t what it used to be. After a bad fall towards the end of basic training three years ago, she was discharged due to a stress fracture of her right knee.

“I can’t stand for long periods, I can’t bend down, I can’t jump. I can’t do any exercise that involves my legs,” Kohlhagen said.

The V.A. approved her for 10 percent disability, but two months ago, her $115 monthly checks stopped coming. She called the Army for an explanation.

Lap Dance Pizzeria?
Written by WCBSTV.com
ImageIn a city that seems to have everything, it's amazing what we'll still be surprised to find. Take for example what CBS 2 HD recently uncovered going on in the back of a pizzeria.

Let's just say it's hotter than the pizza served up front.

On the outside, Cordatos looks like your ordinary pizzeria, but inside customers are offered something way too hot and spicy to be found on the menu.

Lap dances. Yes, you read that correctly.

A walk through the restaurant past the pizza ovens, leads to a heavy soundproof door, where inside the back room $10 buys you a few moments of lap dancing by barely dressed exotic dancers, a dance too graphic for most newscasts.

Extreme Ironing
Written by The Clitheroe Advertiser and Times
ImageMembers of the Clitheroe Explorer Scouts decided to take their badge work to a new level.

Three members of the unit tried their hands at "Extreme Ironing".

With some careful paddling work and a great sense of balance, the Explorer Scouts were able to paddle 200m along the River Ribble from Edisford Bridge while ironing.

Extreme ironing combines the danger of an extreme sport with the satisfaction of a well-pressed shirt.

Explorer Scout Nathan Littley said: "The hardest part was getting a straight crease on the sleeves and – oh yes - not falling in."

The Scout Association is celebrating its centenary this year with the Explorer Scout section catering for 14-18-year-olds.
